BIO - Toros
Toros found himself dumped and abandoned in the middle of the village of Uzumlu, we believe previously owned and once loved but now disregarded.
Toros of very scared, and found himself in a new area, with no food source or access to protection and shelter. Being a dog of Toros’s size this was a real concern as smaller dogs don’t always make it on the streets.
Toros had a bad wound on his ear however he was petrified and wouldn’t allow anyone near him to tend to his wound.
Overtime Toros built trust in a local woman who showed him humans aren’t all bad and he slowly became more confident and started to settle down into village life.
Toros was befriended by a local shop who watched out for him and regularly gave him bread as a treat. The shop was across the road from the local school and to begin with all the children loved having little Toros around until one day a child stole his bread. Being a street dog some dogs can become very protective over their food, as they don’t know when there next meal will be. With this in mind, Toros chased for his food and sadly instead of trying to bite his bread, he almost caught the child. He then got labeled aggressive towards children and his safety became a risk due to threats from locals.
Due to this incident, the charity PAWS removed him and placed him at their dog park for his safety. Sadly this environment is very lonely for him, and its not ideal but due to his love for food and him not wanting to share it with other dogs or humans, they prefer to keep him in his own space.
Toros character has really come out since being at the dog park. He loves spending time with humans, interacting and getting fused. He also loves playing with other dogs and thoroughly enjoys their company.
Toros is craving a home of his own where his human can manage his eating environment for him. Toros is a really friendly dog, really playful with an eagerness to please humans.
