BIO - Poppy

Shoulder height 72cm

Head to floor 82cm

Young dog - around 18 months.

- Children: Very gentle when child tested (child is 9) She hasn’t been around little humans, but with slow introduction due to her size, we can’t see this as being a concern due to her friend and calming nature.

- Walks well on the lead, to heel.

- Happy to get into the car and travel in the boot.

- Other dogs: She was observed interacting with a male and female dog both face to face and behind a fence and she was friendly and gentle.

- Cats: As days go by in the village street life Poppy is showing no aggression towards cats.

- Friendly and trusting to humans.

- She is very social with humans, likes to have a good chill by your side or lay by your feet. She just likes the company.

- Poppy has natural eye linered eyes, light colored bridle coat, very unique markings.

- Playful and intelligent.

- A gentle giant with a really happy soul.

- Craves a human to trust and call her own.

- PAWS have neutered and vaccinated.

Poor Poppy has been dumped with her collar removed. She has marks where it used to be. Probably owned and once loved but now disregarded.

Poppy is a big girl resulting in locals being scared of her and so, being mean to her.

She was a friendly playful girl when she first turned up but now scared with her tail down.

She's obviously being attacked by other dog/s as she is new wounds on her legs, neck and ears.

Poppy is struggling to find her place after losing her home and being in the village surrounded by humans and other animals who aren't so welcoming.

Poppy went in to be neutered but sadly sadly there were complications during her surgery and she was very unwell. We were advised she might not make the next 24hours!

This gorgeous girl made it through but required a second surgery. This young girl is desperate to live and the second surgery also went well.

Poppy was receiving shelter in a locals barn but as the other locals were nervous of her due to her size we had to place her in a paid for sanctuary. She is safe but in a pen. Poppy needs a home where she is safe and loved.
